Dean Ambrose is set to leave WWE after WrestleMania 35 according to PWTorch. The report claims that the former The Shield member has given WWE his notice and informed them that he is not willing to negotiate a new deal.

Ambrose made his main roster debut in 2012 as a part of The Sheild along with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. While the latter two have excelled as WWE Champions and Dean hasn't got that big push a lot.

He did win the WWE Heavyweight Championship once – by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract after Rollins retained his title by defeating Reigns in 2016. Apart from that, he has been the US Champion, 3-time Intercontinental Champion and also a 2-time RAW Tag team champions.

PWTorch report that Dean Ambrose is not happy with the storyline he has been involved in and is not happy with the WWE Creative. He rejected a raise and a new deal recently and made it clear that he was not going to renew at any cost.

Dean informed the WWE Management over the Rumble weekend that he will not be negotiating a new deal. He also made it clear that it was not about the money and that he was just frustrated with the direction of his character.

The contract stand-off might just as well be the explanation as to why he had an unceremonious elimination at the Royal Rumble. He also lost to Rollins clean on Monday Night RAW after interrupting the Rumble winner's promo with Triple H.

Dean will now be slowly pushed off TV and might be set for a series of losses and be used to put other superstars over before he leaves.

It was said that Ambrose grew frustrated with WWE and he had reason to be. It is unknown whether he could be going to All Elite Wrestling, but we will certainly know more in time.

PW Insider reports that they have been able to confirm this story as well. Dean Ambrose rejected a five-year WWE contract worth seven figures annually. This is a very large amount of money to turn down and should signify just how done with WWE Ambrose is.


It was further noted in this report that: “One source categorized the move as Ambrose being able to ‘do what he wants’ as he doesn’t live an expensive lifestyle and has made great money over his WWE run.”

Therefore, even if Ambrose doesn’t get another huge contract elsewhere he is likely going to be fine.

At this time nothing has been said regarding his wife Renee Young’s status with WWE. She is presumably still going to carry on as the first female full-time announcer of Monday Night Raw.

It looks like Dean Ambrose is leaving WWE after his contract is up. This will be sometime after WrestleMania as first reported by PW Torch.

Ambrose was said to be frustrated with his position in WWE for a long time. However, it was said that only top management and a “small circle of friends” knew about his decision to leave the company.

Dave Meltzer is still looking for definitive answers in this situation which could be on the way. However, he did discuss the idea during Wrestling Observer Radio of Ambrose ending up in All Elite Wrestling when all is said and done.

“The first conclusion everyone is going to come to is AEW and I don’t know anything about that, but I will ask around about it. You know I have not heard his name, but there’s a lot of stuff that they’re trying to keep secret too.”

“I don’t think that they are looking to take too many guys from WWE, but if it’s the right guy. The approach they wanna do is different from WWE. It’s an approach that a lot of WWE wrestlers would like. So again, I’ll probably know a lot more about this tomorrow night.”

The big question now is where Ambrose could go next. With All Elite Wrestling opening their doors, that seems like a logical destination for Dean. He won’t be able to wrestle under his WWE name, but people will still remember Jon Moxley.
