Sei andato sul profilo di Micro The Main Man?

Notes from Andrade's 2nd Post WWE interview - Clarifies salary, NXT talent not wanting to go main roster, potentially reuniting with Los Ingobernables, denies asking to go back to NXT, more

[Interview is once again transcribed. This time coming from the wonderful LuchaBlog and their retweets.]

Andrade explain he got Lasik eye surgery in November. When he was in CMLL, the longest he went without wrestling was one month, so being out and then not being used for four months was a uncomfortable.

That made his decision quick to leave; he's got offers to wrestle everywhere in the world now.

He's like to use the name Andrade going forward, but he's not specific and he knows a lot of people still want to call him La Sombra. He notes he owns the name to Sombra in the US, CMLL in Mexico, and he doesn't seem particular on the name.

Andrade clarifies he was not being paid three million dollars per year. He could earn millions over the lifetime of the contract

Andrade's asked if he would like to face Kenny Omega. He remembers being in a tournament in opposite block of Omega and never getting to face, but there's talent in lots of places he would like to face including Omega.

@apolovaldes asks if Andrade would like to reunite with La Mascara or Rush as Los Ingobernables, or go it alone. Andrade says he's open to either option, says he's open to working with and has talked with various companies in Mexico but doesn't want to sign a Mexico contract.

Andrade is in talks with several Mexican companies and mentions a new company starting up that wants Los Ingobernables with them. Says it's tough since they all want to be his first time back in Mexico.

They asked him what the talent thinks about the wellness policy and their routine. Andrade says it's a good thing but can also not be good, then re-tells the story about Charlotte. Says that the bigger problem is misinformation and miscommunication.

Andrade also seemed to blame his wellness violation on a tainted supplement, offered to bring it in to get it tested to prove it, but I guess it didn't happen.

Andrade is asked about the treatment among the latino talent. He thinks they get treated well. They get taken care of (get paid). Opportunities are given if they are able to earn them. But he doesn't think they are a priority. He credits the matches with Rey that got him chances.

Andrade again going through the list of non-Hispanic talent not used well - he doesn't think it's an issue of race

Andrade does mention there's NXT talent who doesn't want to move up because they don't want to end up like the other guys who aren't used.

There are people happy with just taking the paycheck for doing nothing. Andrade just really wanted to work. He wants to win titles, to go to places.

Denies asking to return to NXT. Says the company suggested it when he brought up wanting to leave.

Andrade talking about the differences of wrestling in various countries, and how wrestling in WWE requires wrestling WWE's style.

He got taught not to take other people's moves. How they are all different and used to form each wrestler's character.

Andrade not admitting he told Rush not to sign with WWE but explained to him it's a coin flip whether it works out or not. It all depends what you want out of your career, there are positives but also many negatives. (He lists all the obvious ones)

A reporter asked him if his relationship affected his position or her's at all. Andrade doesn't think it did. He appreciates her support and they discuss what they go through. He doesn't want to speak for her. But does mention she could be filming a movie for WWE soon.

Asked how Heyman and Triple H helped him. Andrade says Triple H was always nice to him and was the one that offered him the chance to go back to NXT. Heyman was very supportive overall.

Andrade says he had a lot of great opponents that enabled him to adapt to each wrestling style and environment. Lists Gargano, Nakamura, Volador Jr. With people like this it helps.

Though this is an unhappy parting, Andrade's complimentary to WWE in a lot of ways - he enjoyed his runs as NXT & US Champion, learned from a lot of people.

He's not pointing the blame at one person or reason why WWE didn't work out, he doesn't fell like he really understands the why, just that it didn't it.

Andrade tells a local reporter that he'll return to wrestle in his hometown eventually. I believe he or his family ended up buying the building he debuted in (at 13).

"I would like to face Psycho Clown"

You can think of a name in Mexico, Andrade would like to wrestle them again. Can't remember if he teamed with Santo but would like to do that too.

Andrade's not going to sign a contract in Mexico, though he might in the US. He's brought up the concept of facing Rush in ROH a couple of times during this, as a idea he likes.

Mentions in passing he & Rey Jr had an idea for another program before he decided to ask for his release.

Somone asks Andrade about the LA Park match. He says they know each other. Andrade says Park puts up a lot of excuses. He knows he is open to everything and that's why he challenged him on twitter. Reminds everyone he unmasked his father in the 80's

Talking about matches he's proud of in WWE, brings up the Gargano title match getting (WON) five stars among others

Andrade bringing up how rare 5 star matches were in WWE and he had one there and now they happen every month. Says the chemistry matters the most. That Rey would compliment him by saying how he worked just like Eddie did against him.

2 days before he got his release he spoke with HHH who claimed to not know he was ready to return from his injury all this time. Offered him spot in NXT again for a year & then they would bring him back up to the main roster fresh (+ more money).

Andrade emphasized he didn't want to go back to NXT

Triple H left the door open for a return a few years down the line.

Andrade feels the fans know the real Ingobernables are himself, Rush and La Mascara, though CMLL owns the trademark and can give it to whomever they want. He feels Ingobernables were bigger because Perros del Mal were only known in Mexico and Ingobernables went worldwide.

A reporter asks how other wrestlers react to people getting released last year. Andrade brings up that if it happened he would have been ok with working elsewhere because he felt he was good enough. He was sad for his friend Karl Anderson.

Talking about wrestling in empty arenas and dealing with COVID - there's a day where he was there waiting for a result for hours, while they were usually quick

Andrade is asked if WWE did enough to control covid within the company. Says he tested positive and was totally unsure about how it happened. He says he made a trip to Mexico to get some documents and was surrounded by people but ended up testing negative for it after.

We're wrapping up. Bernardo points out Atlantis didn't come up in Andrade's list of opponents but Andrade says he'd love to face him, Blue Panther, Negro Casas but isn't sure if Atlantis is still active. He's assured Atlantis is around so Andrade's looking for revenge.

He’s asked if he liked the NXT or US title wins either. He saw RAW/SD is bigger than NXT but those wins - like he other pre-WWE wins - were all important parts of his career.

Andrade gets asked what his goals for WWE were. He mentions he would like to return to accomplish them. He wants to be the champion like Rey and Del Rio were. Cites what Mcintyre has done (leaving and returning) as what he could accomplish.

Asked about the other WWE Mexican wrestlers, he compliments them and hopes they get opportunity

He’s complimentary towards Zelina Vega, says her exit from WWE was different and didn't want to talk for her.

The vibe I get from this interview is Andrade hasn't definitely decided where he's going yet, everything still on the table. ROH and AAA both seemed to come up the most if that means anything.

Andrade gets Charlotte to pop in and say hi as they finish up.
