Non c’è nessuno che se la può comprare e farla sopravvivere? Dov’è finita Dixie? Gli Harris? Arquette?
Cioè, quanto può costare un’NWA? Ti tieni Question Mark con una decina di gimmick, Stevens, Storm 1 e 2, Aldis e Drake e tiri avanti.

Più che "quanto costa" mi chiederei "come genera ricavi", visto che (da quel che ho capito) l'NWA di Corgan era in perdita sugli show settimanali per puntare a una strategia di lungo periodo fatta di PPV, sponsor e merchandise.

In realtà la situazione è la seguente:
BIlly Corgan ha detto che l'attività della NWA sia sospesa almeno fino a gennaio 2021;
Per far questo ha concesso la rescissione dei contratti a chi ne facesse richiesta;
Questo di fatto ha portato da un lato Ricky Starks a debuttare in AEW (quindi andandosene), Zicky Dice a chiedere la rescissione (a questo punto vai a capire se sia perchè ha in mano un contratto o altro) e Thunder Rosa aprirsi una fed. tutta femminile;
In tutto questo però nessun titolo è stato reso vacante, nemmeno quello di Dice;
Lagana sta negando le accuse mosse da Liz Savage.

Ora come ora, l'idea di sospensione dei contratti ha senso, in ottica di permettere maggiore libertà ai wrestler, anche perchè bisogna capire le limitazioni che tale contratto comportasse.
Il problema Lagana è centrale di tutto, perchè lui è sostanzialmente l'autore di tutta la roba NWA sia creativamente che nei montaggi video, dunque ci sta la pausa anche per capire cosa possa succedere (un po' come Guevara in AEW).


Infine metto le ultime due cose uscite, non messe pe rla sospensione a caso che mi hanno dato:

According to Fightful, Starks didn’t accept a new contract offer of $1,000 a month. Dice was offered $250 a month and passed on that offer. Dice’s deal was originally up for negotiation in September.

Corgan ha smentito le voci di chiusura.

Più facile prevedere uno scenario di ridimensionamento o di reset (TNA? ), a meno che nel prossimo periodo non si inventino qualche altra trovata.

Speriamo bene, certo è che nel frattempo potrebbero far presto a papparsi tutto il roster e dopo hai voglia a ripartire da Gentleman Jervis o da qualche nome della Chikara che al mercato mio padre comprò

Thunder Rosa to Defend NWA Women’s Title at Mission Pro Wrestling Event

Mission Pro Wrestling NWA Thunder Rosa Lindsay Snow

The NWA World Women’s Championship will be defended at Mission Pro Wrestling’s September 18th show. It was announced on Tuesday that Thunder Rosa will defend her title against “The American Kaiju” Lindsay Snow at the show, titled Hell Hath No Fury. The event will stream live on Title Match Network.

Rosa won the title in January at NWA Hard Times, defeating Allysin Kay.

NWA & United Wrestling Network Launching Weekly PPV Series Next Month

The National Wrestling Alliance is coming back soon, but you’ll have to pay to watch it.

Called “United Wrestling Network’s Primetime LIVE,” the NWA is teaming with the pro wrestling sanctioning body that promotes Championship Wrestling From Hollywood and Championship Wrestling From Arizona. The weekly pay-per-view events don’t have a price yet but the first 90-minute episode will debut Sept. 15 at 9 p.m. ET. It will air both on FITE TV and traditional pay-per-view services on cable. Thunder Studios is hosting the events in its Long Beach Studios and will be taking COVID-19 precautions.

“I’m pleased that we are finally able to announce some good news, and in partnering with United Wrestling Network we’ll be able to get back to work with what promises to be top-tier matchups, and soon,” said NWA Owner Billy Corgan. “It goes without saying that 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone, and our goal in re-establishing in-ring NWA action was to make sure that our talent would be protected working within the now established safety protocols, as well as delivering consistent, high quality content like our vaunted shows NWA POWERRR, and ‘Ten Pounds of Gold’. But this will be more than just a weekly, live PPV broadcast, as we plan on shooting additional content for the NWA YouTube channel and our Patreon subscribers. My goal here is simple: to provide the best contests possible with the greatest talent available, carrying on the great legacy of the National Wrestling Alliance as an independent governing body. And in that we hope to feature at least one championship match on every live broadcast.”

Executive Producer David Marquez says this is the show he’s always wanted to produce. “I’ve always wanted to produce a joint program that would feature the baddest and best pro wrestlers from different promotions on the same broadcast,” says Marquez. “This fan first way of thinking should allow us to present match-ups that you might not normally ever see on weekly television. There may be a time when you see someone from Championship Wrestling from Hollywood go against someone from Chicago’s Freelance Wrestling, or even fighters out of the NJPW LA Dojo versus West Coast Pro Wrestling. A major goal we have is to take newer up-and-coming athletes and present them in a way that hasn’t been done on a nationally televised show before. With this incredible new platform and opportunity to let the greatest talent shine on a worldwide stage, we are poised to create new superstars! Factor in the NWA Champions and the stars of NWA POWERRR and beyond, all converging for some of the most exciting programming possible. In my 30 years in both television production and promoting wrestling, this project will be the biggest of my career.”

Ok, pare che torneranno con PPV settimanali coprodotti con quella che di fatto era la NWA prima dell'acquisto di Corgan. Il 15 di settembre. Vediamo che succederà...
