Tra la scarsa alchimia dei due e, probabilmente, le poche motivazioni per quanto successo durante la serata, il main event mi è piaciuto poco poco.

Ogni volta guardare Jim Ross cercare di districarsi in quella situazione è un colpo al cuore.

*After the commercial break, footage was shown of last week's Over the Edge

*Shane McMahon/Undertaker/Vince McMahon Confrontation.
-Upon the enterance of the Corporate Ministry, the Undertaker's higher power was shown walking to the ring along with some druids carying the Undertaker's symbol. Shane McMahon began the interview by taking the microphone and telling us how powerful he is. The Undertaker then said that the higher power will be in the ring tonight as he will defeat Steve Austin for a second time and deliver him directly. Vince McMahon then came out to the Titantron area with a microphone and said that Shane's glory will only last a moment. He explained that the Undertaker did not defeat Austin for the WWF title but screwed him and that is what he will do to the Undertaker tonight. Vince McMahon then ordered the Undertaker to defend the WWF championship against Steve Austin tonight to which Shane agreed except for the fact that it would not be a championship match. Vince ended his rant by telling the Undertaker that before he fights Steve Austin tonight he will fight McMahon. He said he may not win but because the Undertaker turned his son bad and messed with his family he will try. Shane then said that since Vince McMahon showed that he has "grapefruits" if he wins the match Austin's match will be for the title. He added the stipulation that if anybody interfeers in McMahon's match then Steve Austin loses the title shot. Vince then said that he had everything to gain and nothing to lose as Shane said that if Vince loses Steve Austin will never get another title shot against the Undertaker again.

*As the Corporate Ministry was walking back to the Titantron, Steve Austin appeared under the sheets of one of the druids and began to attack the Undertaker from behind. The Corporate Ministry then attacked Austin as the Union came down to even out the score.

*After the commercial break, Vince McMahon is shown telling both Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco to stay out of his way in his match tonight.

*Harry "Beaver" Cleavage pinned Christian
-Cleavage took control of the entire match-up as he established his gimmick quite well. As the referee was turned, Michael Hayes and the Hardy Boyz came down to hit Christian with a cane as Cleavage recieved the pin. Christian then lept from the top rope onto the Hardy Boyz and Michael Hayes however they quickly overcame him.

*Jeff Jarrett defeated The Godfather
*Intercontinental Championship*
-The Godfather told Jeff Jarrett that he has something of his (referring to the time when the Godfather won a match in which Debra was supposed to be one of his ho's.) Early on in the match, Jarrett consistantly knocked the Godfather down with his maneuvers. As the Godfather was about to deliver a pimp drop, Debra came up on the ring apron and tempted him with her puppies. The Godfather told her to take off her jacket, which she did as he told one of his ho's to do as well. She took off her top as the Godfather got distracted by a belt shot to the face. As the ref wasn't looking, he got covered and pinned as Jeff Jarrett became the new Intercontinental Champion.

*Paul Bearer was shown in the backstage area walking with the Undertaker.

*Vince McMahon defeated The Undertaker (Disqualification)
[If Vince McMahon wins this match, Steve Austin gets a title match against the Undertaker later in the night. If he loses, Steve Austin will never get a title match against the Undertaker, ever.]
-As the Undertaker walked into the ring, Steve Austin was shown in the backstage area getting ready for his match later in the night. McMahon directly ran to the ring to fight the Undertaker as he got pumbelled instantly. McMahon took control for a split second after a low blow and many rapid punches, however the Undertaker put an end to that. As the Undertaker pumbelled McMahon without stopping, the referee called for a disqualification letting Vince McMahon win the match.

*Steve Austin Interview.
-In the backstage area, Steve Austin simply ranted on his match later in the night.

*Mankind Interview.
-Mankind came out to the ring and ordered a match against Triple H tonight with falls counting anywhere and no disqualifications. He said that his reasons are simple. First because Triple H gave him a "pipe job" at Over the Edge, and second because Chyna has been checking him out in the backstage area.

*After the commercial break we are told that the Big Bossman attacked Mankind as he was walking back to the Titantron area. We are then shown that Mankind and the Bossman are still fighting at ringside.

*Jesse James defeated Big Bossman (Disqualification)

Shamrock then got pinned by Venis as he gave him a belly-to-belly suplex and chased after Jeff Jarrett. After the match, Val Venis pushed Nicole Bass off of him and asked where she was when he needed the help. As Bass apologized, Val Venis said it was OK and she could make it up to him right now.

*The Undertaker is shown in the backstage area talking in tounges.
*Triple H pinned Mankind
*Falls Count Anywhere, No DQ.*
-Triple H and Mankind brought the match to the outside quickly with numerous maneuvers inside and outside of the ringside area. As Triple H was searching for a mallet, Chyna threw Mankind into the steel steps. Triple H finally found the mallet but missed hitting Mankind in the face as the competitors went back into the ring. Triple H attempted a pedigree on a steel chair outside but it got reversed as Mankind was thrown into Chyna. As Mankind had the mandible claw on Triple H in the ring, Chyna gave him a low blow with a mallet and then began to argue with the referee. Mankind then hit the mandible claw on Chyna as Triple H hit him in the knee with the mallet for the pin. Many referees came down to the ring to help Mankind, but Triple H took them all out and began to work on Mankind's knee. This brought the Rock out to take care of Triple H and save Mankind.
