Analisi interessante benché io non ritenga qualitativamente Delta Machine tra i loro dischi più riusciti. Questa tua disamina ha un esempio in Should Be Higher dove Dave tocca note alte che di solito non tocca.
D'altronde anche lui in diverse interviste dice che non ha studiato canto da giovane e che benché fosse talentuoso si appoggiava prettamente sulle sue doti naturali.

Infatti nella disamina avevo scritto che premiavo DM per l'ottima prova di Gahan piuttosto che per la qualità globale del disco, non tra le prove più riuscitissime ma nemmeno così da buttare. Poi vabbè, ho markato anche per il stupendo show visto in Polonia.

Sono cambiate profondamente le modalità di fruizione e di consumo del prodotto, il digitale e le piattaforme streaming hanno conquistato (e nel caso delle varie Spotify, Apple, Tidal anche saturato) il mercato e le fisiche sono oramai un prodotto del passato, basti vedere come sono cambiate le rilevazioni numeriche delle varie certificazioni. Paradossalmente, è rinato il mercato dei vinili e delle musicassette, poiché a noi il progresso piace ma siamo ossessionati dal passato (ciao Simon Reynolds, ciao).

Certo che se i Fucktic Monkeys entrano nella top ten di qualsiasi classifica è una vergogna. Già lo è che esistano.

Fs strano vedere tanto arcade dire (ma i positivo), ma poco o niente i mumford

Molte cose fanno strano eh, per esempio l'assenza o la minima presenza in questo decennio dell'elettronica (Nicolas Jarr, Arca, Oneohtrix Point Never e James Blake nella sua forma più "pop"), della musica black al di fuor del già scarsamente rappresentato rap a stelle e strisce (D'Angelo, Frank Ocean, Anderson Paak.) e del pop al femminile (e qui ci sarebbe una valanga di nomi da fare), che sono tre generi o macrogeneri che hanno plasmato e modellato il decennio passato. Dipende anche e ovviamente dal proprio bagaglio musicale e dai propri gusti, per me ad esempio la presenza (o l'assenza) di Arctic Monkeys e dei Mumford&Sons non mi sconfinferà molto, mentre l'eliminazione di Frank Ocean ancor prima della fase ad eliminazione diretta mi provoca enorme dolore e mestizia d'anima.

Mai quanto Eminem come primo rapper che passa alla fase finale, quello proprio non lo tollero.
