A dicembre mi sposo e faremo il viaggio di nozze in Giappone. Partiamo il due gennaio e l'unica attività per cui mi sono impuntato è andare a Wrestle Kingdom (e, dopo che hanno annunciato, anche a Wrestle Dinasty).

Un po' sto flexando come direbbero i giovani, un po' cercherò di condividere l'esperienza e la mia fine della storia nel riuscire a vedere uno show dal vivo senza addormentarm.

I primi tempi su Internet tra le cose che apprezzai di più del sito di Tutto wrestling furono i report degli show visti live, tipo mi sembra la Rumble del 2001 e a altre robe.

Consiglio vivamente di cenare da Ribera, ce ne sono due, quella originale (posto piccolissimo) e quello gestito dal figlio, pieno di foto di wrestler passati da lì negli anni e con un po' di fortuna becchi anche qualche wrestler locale visto che frequentano molto il posto. Vendono dei piccoli gadget da portare via, portachiavi per lo più. Occhio che accettano solo contanti.
Io ho chiesto se vendevano le giacche ma mi hanno detto che le originali le regalano solo ai wrestler ma si può trovare qualcosa su eBay di non originale (a loro fa comunque piacere la pubblicità gratuita...).

Dal Tokyo Dome alla Ribera Steakhouse sono circa 20 minuti di taxi (costano poco in Giappone) o 30/35 di autobus, a mio parere è un must, basta guardare le foto, e c'è un'atmosfera pazzesca:

La WWE ci ha scritto persino un articolo, cerca "Wrestling's favorite restaurant: The oral history of Ribera Steakhouse" e trovi tutto.

Ti copio inoltre dei consigli presi da Reddit:
. I'm pretty much in Japan for January every year so I can tell you now, there are plenty of wrestling-related stores and they're all great to visit.

Firstly, there's Toudoukan. Now, it used to be in Suidobashi, a short walk from Korakuen Hall. It is now right near Sugamo station. Sugamo is on the Yamanote line so it's easy to get to and there are frequent trains to and from there. When you get there you'll want to take the right-hand-side exit and turn right once you get out onto the street. Walk down the small street that runs parallel to the train line and Toudoukan will be on your left.

Now, back to Suidobashi, it is on the Chuo line, which connects to the Yamanote line at Shinjuku, Yoyogi and Akihabara. The NJPW Shop is located near Suidobashi station. There you'll find official NJPW merch.

Around the corner from the NJPW shop is Champion. They mainly sell DVDs and some merch. DVDs are quite pricey in Japan but you'll find some good ones in there.

Now, 2 stops down on the Chuo line is Akihabara. In Akihabara you'll find Hobby Store Backdrop. It's on the 5th floor of one of the buildings just off the main drag. Backdrop has a section dedicated to WWE Merch, including action figures, DVDs, replica belts and replica jackets. They also stock plenty of official NJPW merch.

In the other direction on the Chuo line (heading towards Mitaka) is Nakano. Nakano Broadway has a few shops dedicated to pro wrestling and combat sports. It's well worth checking out.

Now for Shibuya and surrounding areas. Again, Shibuya is easily accessible, but the wrestling stores are a fair walk in different directions.

HAOMING is a must. It takes a while to walk there but it stocks original designs and has some memorabilia. When I was there last, I saw Kenny Omega's Wrestle Kingdom 11 gear and got to handle the gun he brought out to the ring during his WK12 entrance.

In the other direction is Piledriver. NJPW shop doesn't stock Suzuki-gun merch. If you want their merch, go to Piledriver in between Shibuya and Harajuku. If you're lucky, you might be greeted by Minoru Suzuki himself. I've met him a couple of times, and I've been served by Hiroyo Matsumoto, who was in last year's Mae Young Classic.

EDIT: On top of all that, there's the famous Ribera Steakhouse. There's one in Gotanda and one in Meguro, both of which are accessible on the Yamanote line. You'll be waiting in line for a seat, but it's well worth it because the steak is awesome.

Then there's the Antonio Inoki Saka-Bar in Shinjuku, right near the station. They charge you an entry fee, but it's well worth a visit. There's photos of Inoki on every wall, his gear and the first version of the IWGP Heavyweight Championship are on display, his matches are played on the screens, and his theme is played on loop.
