Beh, alla fine è lo stesso discorso di HHH che dice che certi atleti non sono adatti alla WWE perchè non sono disposti a "grindare".
Non c'è da stupirsi in un carrozzone del genere.

C'è invece da stupirsi per le dichiarazioni di Lauderdale e Janela.
Non tanto nel contenuto (che siano due deficienti ormai mi sembra acclarato), quanto nel tempismo. Cose che chiunque essere umano terrebbe nascoste il più possibile e negherebbe fino alla morte (soprattutto il giorno dopo il decesso del diretto interessato) qua vengono spiattellate quasi fossero un vanto.

Basta anche pensare ad Eddie Guerrero che a partire da un anno prima della sua morte non riusciva ad alzarsi dal lettino per i dolori o di Chris Benoit che aveva perso il conto delle commozioni cerebrali come aveva detto a Chris Nowinsky (uno dei pochissimi esempi di wrestler intelligente).
È un insieme di fattori assurdi e stupidi se ci si pensa: la mentalità del “the show must go on”, la paura dei wrestler di perdere posizioni importanti nella card se ci si ferma, il voler guadagnare a scapito della salute dei wrestler e banalmente l’ignoranza degli effetti a lungo termine sulla salute dei wrestler. Solo sulle TCE negli ultimi anni c’è stata una maggiore sensibilizzazione, ma il resto c’è ancora tanto da lavorarci.
Oltre all’uso indiscriminato ed alla facilità nell’accesso/prescrizione di antidolorifici/oppioidi negli USA.

A meno che non ci siano chiare prove che sia stato fisicamente costretto o minacciato psicologicamente, ricordiamoci che Terry Brunk una testa pensante ce l'aveva. Lo stesso Brunk che non si è mai fatto troppi problemi a mandare a fanculo eventi programmati ecc, vuoi per carattere o vuoi per la sua ansia sociale/depressione che si portava appresso da anni, molto prima che morisse la compagna 4 anni fa. Basta ascoltare interviste rivelatorie sue o anche quelle di altre personalità della disciplina.
Ergo, poteva tranquillamente rifiutarsi, tanto comunque era fermo da 4 anni a livello di carriera, e si considerava già ritirato lui stesso.

Sí, Joey Janela è assai scarso nelle pubbliche relazioni, su questo concordiamo, ma a meno di chiare prove che sia stata ufficialmente colpa sua, qui si rischia di trascurare la volontà di Sabu in favore di una caccia alle streghe forzata.

La morte di Melissa Coates è stata una botta durissima per lui, stando alle sue parole e al suo linguaggio del corpo durante le interviste degli ultimi 4 anni. Mettiamoci pure tutti gli acciacchi fisici (che comunque lui ha detto più volte di sopportare senza problemi e che il vero dolore era la morte di Melissa) e un business che l'ha masticato e rigettato più volte senza probabilmente incensarlo come avrebbe meritato (era Tazz o Dreamer che diceva che Sabu sarebbe dovuto essere un milionario per tutto quello che ha fatto in carriera?), chi siamo noi per sindacare sulle sue volontà?
Al netto ovviamente che non sia stato effettivamente costretto, e al netto di scoprire la causa ufficiale della morte, ancora sconosciuta. Al momento sono solo supposizioni.

Magari Sabu voleva veramente un'ultima botta di vita come si deve per lasciarsi alle spalle gli ultimi anni, e semplicemente del resto non gliene fregava un cazzo.

Non dico che state dicendo fesserie, sono ipotesi valide, ma cerchiamo anche di non iniziare la solita caccia alle streghe senza prove o indizi.

Sicuramente Sabu ha le sue responsabilità della vita che ha fatto, ma ciò non toglie (almeno per me) che se un altro essere umano vede una persona che sta abusando di se stessa e pensa "eh vabbè, 'sticazzi, cosa ne viene in tasca a me?" sia in linea di massima una merda.
