I barely remember the exchange that I had with Trey and I'm extremely far removed from the time when I was close with all the Ohio guys. What I can say is that Trey always had a great attitude and took personal accountability anytime he felt he did wrong. He was basically a kid when we had our exchange and I remember him saying things that an angry kid would say. I trust his word. I'm sure he's much more matured.
As a person that has confronted my his personal demons and harms caused all of which I have publicly addressed numerous times and will not address further), I hope that Trey has peace and will be able to continue his success in wrestling.
As a total sidebar, considering this story features me at the western wall, I would like to also express that my going to Israel and participating in a sportswashing act is honestly one of the deepest regrets I have in my life. I wish that I had truly understood the nature of the genocidal, apartheid state but I didn't at that time. I wish that I had gone to see the occupied territories and seen the horrors with my own eyes. Anyone who still follows me knows that I have been fervently opposed to Israel's unforgivable actions.

Un arbitro di wrestling dichiarato bisex invece ha difeso Trey. Sicuramente per un post fatto su facebook 6 anni fa non puoi licenziare una persona. Capisco Trey che si ritira momentaneamente, è già il secondo treno che perde per la big league.

Post orrendo quello di Trey, ma che senso ha licenziarlo dopo averlo messo sotto contratto, per via di un post di sei anni prima.

Allora, a quanto pare stanno uscendo man mano sempre più notizie in merito.

Si dice che:
- il problema siano le sue dichiarazioni oggettivamente gravi (e su questo non c'è discussione, il diritto di opinione non copre razzismo, omofobia e simili e ve lo dico da avvocato oltre che da persona civile);
- a porre il veto è stato il network, che ha saputo della cosa solo dopo che Trey era stato messo sotto contratto dato che l'AEW non passa i propri ingaggi per un vaglio preventivo;
- Khan è un estimatore di Trey e aveva già provato a metterlo sotto contratto nel 2020, ma pure all'epoca c'era stato il veto del network;
- verosimilmente Khan aveva pensato che essendo passati un po' di anni non ci fosse più una posizione così forte da parte della WBD (che nel frattempo ha cambiato tanto in termini di dirigenza, anche la fusione è avvenuta dopo il 2020);
- il lottatore e l'AEW si sono lasciati in maniera amichevole e probabilmente con l'idea che non appena caduto il veto ci riproveranno;
- intanto lui ha iniziato a cospargersi il capo di cenere e ad affrontare quei passaggi (scuse sincere, confronto, accettazione delle critiche) che non erano avvenuti, o almeno non in maniera così pubblica, all'epoca.

Personalmente io sono dell'idea che se uno dice delle cose brutte deve accettarne le conseguenze, dopodiché le persone non sono monoliti immutabili e quindi uno che è stato uno stronzo può nel tempo smettere di esserlo. Ovviamente, però, c'è sempre una fase intermedia in cui devi dimostrare la tua sincera comprensione dell'errore prima di sentirti "riabilitato" sul piano dell'immagine pubblica.
