Sources within WWE claim that the number of people who have accepted a pay cut is "less than half a dozen," and they would have been cut if they didn't accept.
They were not "high-end players" and creative had little interest in using them going forward, so the idea is that they remain under contract, but their in-ring work would be phased down.
