beh sarebbe tanta roba, anche se kharitonov e rogers abbassano un po il livello, ma probabilmente è il meglio del meglio in circolazione... speriamo lo facciano veramente.

nei giorni scorsi sono uscite alcune dichiarazioni di white (il padrone dell'ufc) che sembra abbia posticipato il prossimo match di lesnar, perche sembra, ma sono solo notizie non confermate che lotterà contro undertaker alla prossima WM.

Perchè altrimenti non sarebbe il buon tarri che tutti conosciamo...


Cmq ottima la notizia sul torneo degli HW in Strikeforce e l'annuncio del prolungamento della collaborazione tra SF e M-1.
Quindi il 12 febbraio ci sarà Fedor vs Big Foot e Arlovski vs Kharitonov.

Aoki ha fatto una figuraccia, in molti l'anno fischiato, ma sono convinto che gran parte dei fan giapponesi abbiano apprezzato il suo impegno, quest'anno si era già fatto i suoi 4 incontri e ha voluto partecipare comunque al Dynamite, ha rischiato e si è fatto la sua figura di merda amen. Per sua fortuna non ha avuto impatti sul suo record.

Ma abbiamo visto 2 match diversi? Aoki non ha fatto la figuraccia perché era "stanco" di un'annata intera. Aoki ha fatto la figuraccia perché accetta un match fisso, NON combatte il primo round k-1 e arriva al secondo round MMA fresco come una rosa facendosi MASSACRARE in 4 secondi.

Aoki, come già detto, aveva già disputato 4 incontri quest'anno e forse non ha voluto mettere a rischio il suo record o non si prospettavano sfidanti interessanti. Fatto sta che lui voleva partecipare all'evento di capodanno e questa è la soluzione che si è trovata. Ha fatto una figura di merda ma capita di farle quando ci si mette in gioco, quando ad esempio negli ultimi 3 anni non si sono lottati 6 incontri come i campione dell'UFC ma quasi il triplo, anzi esattamente il triplo contando questo match fantasma.

Questa giustificazione è ridicola. E' forse l'unico nel panorama MMA che con una cintura lotta tanto, questo non ci piove (Fedor, Silva, Gomi nel pride facevano comuqnue i 6 incontri l'anno eh), ma è il modo di come è venuta, non l'incontro in se.

Sarebbe potuto risultar godibile e magari perdeva nel round K-1... lottando? Invece è la figura di merda che fa morire, tipica di un fighter sporco e spocchioso che in 2 match nel 2010 ha infortunato 2 colleghi. Una vera merda.

A heavyweight clash between former PRIDE star, Valentijn Overeem and notable K-1 kickboxer, Rey Sefo has been named as a back-up fight for the Strikeforce heavyweight tournament and will go down on February 12th in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Sources close to the situation revealed the news to MMAJunkie.com, adding bout agreements are in place on both sides but thus far no contracts have been exchanged.

Overeem is a fierce, dangerous striker who has won his last two fights in a combined time of 47 seconds. The 6-foot-3, 34-year-old Dutch Destroyer scored a 40-second knockout over Catalin Zmarandescu last May. In his outing before last, the previous April, a head kick finished off Tengiz Tedoradze seven seconds after the opening bell.

Sefo hasn’t been seen in the MMA arena since he defeated former UFC fighter, Kevin Jordan at Strikeforce Challengers 3 in August 2009. Prior to that he defeated Min-Soo Kim with a head kick back in 2005.

The UFC decides to suspend Chael Sonnen while he sorts his personal life out

The UFC have today decided to suspend middleweight star, Chael Sonnen following revelations he’s facing federal charges over money laundering, something he clearly needs to sort out before he can continue his career inside the octagon.

Speaking via TMZ, UFC President, Dana White said:

“Chael Sonnen has gone through a lot in the last few months and we think it’s important for him to focus on getting his personal life together before focusing on his career in the UFC. I spoke with Chael earlier today and he agrees that setting priorities in his life is the best thing for him right now. I sincerely hope Chael is able to straighten out his personal life.”

The move comes as a bit of a shock after just this morning he was linked with a fight at UFC 128 in March against Japanese livewire, Yoshihiro Akiyama. That said the fight would come ten days prior to his sentencing for money laundering, hardly the best preparation heading into a fight.

Shane Carwin aims for May return to action after resuming training earlier this month

Former UFC interim heavyweight champion, Shane Carwin has revealed he’s aiming for a May return to the octagon after stepping foot back into the gym in the past couple of days following extensive back surgery.

Carwin made the announcement via MMA.tv, with his manager, Jason Genet confirming the news to various news outlets in the past couple of hours.

Carwin was forced to have surgery to correct a lingering back problem which ultimately forced him to withdraw from his January 1st fight with Roy Nelson. He was last seen in action at UFC 116 in July, losing to Brock Lesnar via second round submission after dominating the first round.
