Ne parlano bene, qualcuno di voi lo conosce?
L'ho sentito nominare la settimana scorsa perché ha vinto la British J Cup battendo Mascara Dorada. Secondo cubsfan è una versione europea dello stesso Dorada, ma credo fosse un riferimento al primo interprete, cioè l'attuale Metalik, che una quindicina d'anni fa sembrava una versione in carne ed ossa di un videogioco (assieme ad Aero Star).
La sua finisher però non mi piace (una swanton bomb 450 splash).
Avevo in programma di guardare qualche suo match nelle prossime settimane, ma con calma.

Viene a Dicembre in Italia in Squash a Jobber.
Io ho visto qualcosa di lui: bell'atleta, esplosivo e spettacolare. Da quel che ho visto, mi ha sorpreso in positivo non tanto il suo moveset quanto soprattutto la consapevolezza dei ritmi di un match. E' giovanissimo eppure si muove benissimo sul ring a livello di spazi, gioca bene coi ritmi, capendo quando deve accelerare per cercare l'high spot utile per entusiasmare il pubblico.
Comunque si stanno muovendo bene nel cercare nomi nuovi da proporre al proprio pubblico: è una politica di base interessante. Poi bisogna vedere come li sfruttano, ma penso che per Slater possano esserci grandi progetti contando anche i nomi contro cui lo puoi mandare.
Anche la puntata di questa settimana non è stato un grande cambio di passo, anzi per me è stata completamente inutile.
Pur con buon wrestling, non c'è stato alcun avanzamento delle storyline, e Turning Point di stanotte ha una card che sembra quella di un ONO, da tanto è random. Spero che riprendano a lavorare sulle storyline dalla prossima puntata...
L'unico evento dello show purtroppo è l'infortunio di Shelley. Non è stato citato dai commentatori, perchè settimana prossima mostreranno una sua difesa del titolo contro Gresham fatta il giorno dopo di BFG, ma è il motivo per cui è stato sostituito da Kazarian nella card di Turning Point.
Si spera che si riprenda, perchè non vorrei vedere un'altra volta il titolo del mondo reso vacante.
Show abbastanza di transizione in vista di Turning Point, che dalla card sembra di transizione a sua volta, ma essendo attaccato a BFG non ci si poteva aspettare di più... Peccato, però, perché in UK si poteva costruire qualcosa di interessante.
Hendry l'idolo di casa che batte Kaz l'idolo di Impact, beccandosi anche il trofeo dal boss in persona. Gli altri idoli di casa (i SubCulture perdono), ma non Grado, che in UK è più over di Zayn a Montreal.
Deonna è tornata Heel? E se non vince non può più andare per il titolo? Brutta storia in tandem con la sua scadenza imminente... Ho un BRUTTISSIMO presentimento in vista dell'evento.
Mi piace il tag team di Young e Alexander: potentissimo.
Porca miseria per Shelley infortunato. Spero vivamente che non debba rendere il titolo vacante anche lui.

Quelli che ho riportato in grassetto mi sembrano i passaggi più importanti e promettenti. Molto curioso degli upgrade in ambito produzione che si vedranno a partire da Hard to Kill, inoltre mi sembra di capire che (perlomeno per i PPV, non so se anche per lo show TV) si andrà in arene più prestigiose ed il Palms Casino Resort di Las Vegas mi sembra niente male come ripartenza.
Curioso anche di saperne di più dello shakeup del roster dopo le prime firme. Il tutto, ovviamente, tenendo le aspettative moderate.
Poco da dire su Turning Point... Un live event. Match carini, ma nulla di particolarmente importante dal segnalare, se non proprio la sconfitta di Deonna. Speriamo bene, ho un forte timore per il suo futuro. L'unica cosa che potrei accettare è vederla riformare le VXT con Chelsea Green.
Ah, no, un'altra cosa da segnalare c'è: il video di Hendry su Miller. Ho riso tantissimo.
Si, come prevedibile Turning Point è uno show completamente skippabile senza troppe ripercussioni, tranne per la stipula di Trinity vs Deonna.
Purtroppo era inevitabile, visto che sono andati in UK con mezzo roster, ma personalmente avrei preferito che avessero costruito un minimo i match in un paio di settimane di show (mandando in onda TP più tardi, tanto è registrato), avrebbe reso lo show sicuramente più godibile.
In generale non penso che Deonna tornerà in WWE, è un posto in cui il look conta ancora davvero tanto e non avrebbe molto futuro. Possibile che vada in AEW, ma spero anch'io che resti qui, anche perchè la storyline può essere rigirata in un attimo con lei che fa perdere il titolo a Trinity per ritornare nel giro.

Tra 2 settimane, la puntata di IMPACT del 16 Novembre. È stato annunciato durante l'intervista pre-Turning Point che ha fatto lo stesso Ospreay con Tom Hannifan.
